I don’t post what I do to be preachy. I’m pretty sure I’m my own worst critic. I find value in what other people have learned throughout the courses of their lives. A lot of these quotes come to me in the day and help me to be more self-aware, which I think is completely necessary. They say an unexamined life is one not worth living.

Addicted to this song lately! One of the most well written choruses of all time. It reminds me of how important my responsibilities are. Life’s a cycle and if each person does their job, they’ll not only be happier, but we’ll all have a better world.

Corny, I know, but very true. People are the most important. Don’t let things, problems, schedules, etc. get in the way of the time that you can spend showing someone you love and appreciate them.

I love this quote because my mom would tell me ‘winning isn’t everything’ every time I lost one of my baseball or basketball games. I remember thinking, “Why am I playing then, to have fun? No, there’s got to be more to it.”

This is a hard one for me. If I’m not good at something, I feel insecure and shy away from it. Lately, I’ve been trying to overthrow that idea in my head. I think it’s better to be well rounded than just really good at a couple things.

Honesty is the best policy. Too much time is spent by playing games of manipulation, beating around the bush, second-guessing… Over time, you can’t hide what’s inside.

I tried to cut this down as much as I possible, but I liked it too much. It’s a wise person who learns from the mistakes of others. This is a very valuable quote. It’s basically a paragraph of things to consider each day. They’re the things that help you decide what kind of person to be each day. Maya Angelou is one of the best at what she does.
